Motherhood changes so much, yet finding time and space to reconnect with yourself can be surprisingly difficult. Whether you gave birth recently or your postpartum years are further behind you, having a supportive community of women who understand the experience of motherhood can be incredibly meaningful.
Rooted Wellness & Spa is excited to welcome Dana Martinez, Certified Womb Circle Facilitator, for a monthly Postpartum Mother’s Circle. Designed to give mothers a place to slow down, connect, reflect, and simply be.
These intimate gatherings blend guided experiences, personal reflection, open exploration, and optional group sharing. This is not a talk therapy group. Instead, Dana creates an intentional and supportive environment where you can explore your own experience of motherhood while connecting with other women navigating their own journeys.
You do not have to be newly postpartum to participate. The circle is open to women who have crossed the threshold into motherhood. Whether you have a new baby at home or have been a mother for years. Pre-crawling babies are also welcome to attend with you.
Come dressed comfortably and bring a water bottle and journal. Everything else you need will be provided. Each gathering is intentionally kept small to create a cozy environment where participants can feel comfortable connecting and participating at their own pace.

Modern life keeps many of us in a constant state of stress and stimulation. As a result, our bodies often struggle to rest, recover, and reset. The Breathe, Sound & Stillness Sound Bath offers an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Join Greg Wilson, meditation coach, and Nancy Leung, intuitive energy practitioner, for an immersive evening of mindful breathwork, healing sound frequencies, and guided stillness.
During this 90-minute experience, you will use intentional breathing techniques to calm the mind and settle the nervous system. Next, you will experience soothing sound healing frequencies designed to help release tension and stress held within the body.
In addition, the combination of meditation and sound creates space for deep relaxation and inner awareness. Many participants discover greater clarity, emotional balance, and a stronger connection between mind and body.
The Breathe, Sound & Stillness Sound Bath focuses on four pillars of healing: mindful breathwork, healing sound frequencies, deep relaxation, and mind-body connection. Together, these practices support restoration and help you return to a place of calm presence.
When we slow down, the body softens. Furthermore, when the body softens, the mind can finally rest. Healing often begins in that quiet space between breaths.
The Breathe, Sound & Stillness Sound Bath takes place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Rooted Wellness & Spa in Pleasanton, California.

During this immersive 90-minute experience, Nancy and Hugo will guide you through the energies of the five elements using sound healing, nature's soundscapes, and channeled energy work. As the session unfolds, you will have the opportunity to release energetic blockages, receive light codes, and awaken your senses.
Additionally, the sounds of singing bowls and natural elements create a calming environment that encourages deep rest and reflection. Many participants find that this state of relaxation allows them to connect more deeply with their intuition and inner wisdom.

If you have been experiencing pain, tightness, or a pinching sensation in your shoulder, especially when reaching overhead, you may be dealing with shoulder impingement syndrome. Many people also notice stiffness, weakness, or a loss of range of motion that makes everyday activities more difficult.
Shoulder impingement syndrome can develop for a variety of reasons. Repetitive overhead movements from activities such as swimming, tennis, volleyball, weight training, or certain work tasks can contribute to irritation within the shoulder joint. In some cases, a previous injury, poor posture, muscle imbalances, or even an individual's bone structure can increase the likelihood of developing impingement. The good news is that shoulder impingement is often treatable, and massage therapy can play an important role in recovery.
At Rooted Wellness & Spa, massage therapy for shoulder impingement is much different than a relaxation massage. Our therapists focus on the muscles and connective tissues that may be contributing to restricted movement and discomfort. Treatment may include targeted therapeutic massage, myofascial techniques, assisted stretching, and guided movement of the shoulder and arm to help restore mobility and reduce tension.
By improving tissue flexibility and reducing muscular restrictions around the shoulder, many clients experience less pain and greater range of motion. It is common for clients to notice an immediate difference in their ability to lift or rotate their arm following a session.
If you think you may be experiencing shoulder impingement syndrome but are unsure of the next step, massage therapy at Rooted Wellness & Spa may be right for you. Our experienced therapists can assess your movement, identify contributing factors, and help create a treatment plan designed to get you moving comfortably again.
At Rooted Wellness & Spa in Pleasanton, we work with clients experiencing shoulder pain, limited mobility, sports-related injuries, and repetitive strain conditions. If shoulder impingement is preventing you from exercising, working, or enjoying daily activities, our therapists can help you develop a personalized treatment plan focused on restoring movement and reducing discomfort.
Watch the video below to see examples of techniques we may use during a session, along with before-and-after improvements in shoulder mobility.

On March 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM, Rooted Wellness & Spa in Pleasanton will host an empowering educational event focused on something that affects every single one of us — environmental toxins and how they impact our health.
We are honored to welcome Judith Fischer, Functional Health Coach and founder of Lasting Shift (https://lastingshift.com), alongside Stacy Thorpe, DoTERRA Wellness Advocate, for an informative and practical class designed to help you better understand your body and the world around you.
This evening is about empowerment — not fear. Knowledge is grounding. And small, smart shifts create lasting change.
We live in a modern world filled with convenience — but also invisible exposures. From household products to food packaging, water, air, and even personal care products, toxins are part of our daily environment.
In this class, you will learn:
How environmental toxins impact hormones and metabolism
The concept of toxic load and cumulative exposure
Why some individuals are more vulnerable than others
Practical, science-based strategies to reduce exposure
How to make smart changes without becoming overwhelmed
At Rooted, we believe healing is layered. Massage supports the nervous system. Sauna and cold therapy support circulation and detox pathways. Education supports empowered decision-making. This class fits beautifully into that bigger picture of whole-body wellness.

When we reduce the burden on the body:
Hormones regulate more efficiently

Spring is a time for new beginnings. As the days grow longer, many of us feel ready to clear out what feels heavy and invite in more ease. In our next class: Spring Cleaning: Body & Home, Stacy Thorpe shares simple ways to refresh both your home and your body without stress or overwhelm.
First, Stacy focuses on the home. She shows how small changes can reduce toxic exposure while still keeping your space clean. Instead of harsh cleaners, we will explore natural alternatives that are safe, effective, and easy to use. As a result, your home can feel lighter and more supportive. Even better, these swaps save time and reduce the number of products you need.
Next, we learn how DoTERRA essential oils can support both cleaning and daily wellness. Stacy will explain how essential oils can freshen the air, replace synthetic fragrances, and support immune health. Because these oils come from plants, they offer a gentle option for everyday use. In addition, they help create a calm and inviting environment.
Along with home care, Stacy will share ways to support the body during seasonal change. Spring is a great time for gentle resets. For example, we discuss immune support, light detox habits, and simple daily routines. Morning rituals, mindful breathing, and basic oil use are all encouraged. These small actions, when done consistently, can make a big difference.
Finally, what makes this class stand out is how practical it feels. The ideas are easy to apply and flexible for busy lives. You do not need to change everything at once. Instead, Stacy encourages starting small and building from there.
In the end, spring cleaning is about more than tidying up. It is about creating space, clarity, and balance. With simple tools and thoughtful choices, this season can feel fresh, calm, and energizing.
